"Fear, anxiety, acceptance and tranquillity. Four years, four phases in my life while studying at Cibap. Me in the middle of all of this, but thriving. I wanted to overcome my fears and anxiety, to be more in peace with myself, but it took time and help from others. To represent these phases of growth are the crow, fox, crane and owl, with a skull in the middle, which is representing me.
With this work, I want to show others just like me, that you can overcome your fears and your anxiety, grow strong and be at peace with yourself and who you are."

This project was my final project at Cibap. This project is about the four years all bundled in one project, on four plywood panels.
Before I actually created the panels and skull, I started with a moodboard and a research on which animal would fit which panel. Since I wanted the panels to represent my years at Cibap and how I felt in those years, I needed to know which animal fits in best.
After my research I came to the conclusion that the crow, fox, crane and owl were the best fitting for the panels. The crow in the back representing my first year, being scared of what would happend. The fox for my second year, full of anxiety. The third year of accepting and looking for help, the crane. And the owl for my fourth year, feeling calmer and wiser.

After figuring out which animal goes where, it was time to decide how to place the panels and in what way. I decided on placing them behind each other, leaving space in the middle for the skull and letting the whole piece breathe. The last panel is painted black to have a neutral background.

The skull was made in Mudbox, a 3D modelling program where you sculpt digitally. To sculpt the skull I used my drawing tablet to get the most accuracy and precision.
